Ryan Bolton, 43, died on August 15, 2016, while held at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility in Knox County, Tennessee. The Knox County Sheriff's Office said he was found hanging in his cell. He was pronounced dead at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The sheriff's office is investigating the death as an apparent suicide and said he showed no signs of depression and left no note.
