Rusty Lee Draper
Rusty Draper, 47, died on March 31, 2019, at the East Arkansas Regional Unit, a state prison. According to KATV, staff were alerted at 11:03 p.m. that he appeared to need medical treatment, found him in distress, and took him to the unit infirmary, where he was pronounced dead at 11:51 p.m. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that Corrections officials said his condition kept deteriorating and he died within an hour of staff beginning treatment, and that the cause of death has not been determined. The Arkansas State Police are reviewing the death.
