Russell Dwain McGonigle
Russell Dwain McGonigle, 67, of St. George, was found dead in the booking area of Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane, Utah, on May 18, 2020. The Washington County Sheriff's Office said he had numerous health conditions and was scheduled to see a physician that day. His body was sent to the Utah Office of the Medical Examiner for autopsy, and the cause and manner of death were still pending when the reports were published. The Washington County Attorney's Office Critical Incident Task Force said it was investigating the death.
