Russell Beard, 65, of Litchfield, was found unconscious in the booking area of the Valley Street jail in Manchester at about 9:55 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018, and died there. The Hillsborough County Department of Corrections said he had shown no sign of distress before he was found. The county said an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death, which remained pending when the report was published.
