Ruben M. Ramirez, 45, died on November 17, 2005. A news account gives the cause of death as a medical emergency and places his death at the Duval County Jail in Duval County, Texas. A Texas Office of the Attorney General custodial death report, published in February 2006, instead says he died in Texas state prison custody, citing the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
