Rose Ruiz
Rose Ruiz, 26, died on March 8, 2016, while held at the Denver County Jail in Denver, Colorado. The Denver Sheriff Department said she hanged herself with a bedsheet in her cell that evening, and that she was alone when another person held there found her on the way to a shower. The department said its internal affairs bureau is investigating the death as a suicide. The department also said video of a deputy's earlier check of her cell appeared normal.
