Ronnie Pino
Ronnie Pino, 31, was found dead in the Sacramento County Main Jail in December 2004, about 17 hours after Sacramento police shot him twice with a Taser. The Sacramento County coroner's report listed sudden unexpected death syndrome as the main cause of death and found no connection to the Taser. His mother, Marjorie Pino, disputes that finding, says it has been hard to accept his death, and wants a doctor to review the report, including whether the stun gun or a nerve stimulator implanted near his heart may have contributed.
