Ronald S. Rhodes
Ronald S. Rhodes, 35, died on September 9, 2022, about an hour after other people held at Central Prison in Raleigh, North Carolina, attacked him with a weapon in the recreation yard. The North Carolina Department of Public Safety reported the attack and said it was a homicide. The prison was placed on lockdown while police investigated the death.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. The North Carolina Department of Public Safety said other inmates assaulted Rhodes with a weapon in the Central Prison recreation yard and that he died about an hour later.
