Ronald Pinchon
Ronald Pinchon was 19 years old. In May 2005 he was held in a cell on the tenth floor of the Madison County Courthouse jail with six other men, and he died there. The men first told investigators he died while they were wrestling, but an investigator later testified that they beat him to death. His family has asked why a young man in his situation was housed with them at all.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody (disputed; neglect alleged). An investigator testified that six cellmates beat him to death, while the cellmates first said he died wrestling; his family's attorney Mark McDaniel says he was housed with violent felons and the family wants to know why.
