Ronald Paxton Matthews, 54, died on July 11, 2021, while held at the Morgan County Jail in Alabama. According to the Morgan County Sheriff's Office, he reported heartburn and a tingling arm, and later became unresponsive. He was taken to Decatur-Morgan Hospital, where he died.
