Ronald Murray
Ronald Murray, 62, was held at the Madison County Jail in Madison, Nebraska, awaiting trial. Early on Friday, August 29, 2025, he complained of heart-related symptoms and was taken to a hospital in Norfolk, then released back to the jail. He complained again and was being taken to a hospital in Columbus when he collapsed near the hospital, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Chief Deputy Jon Downey of the Madison County Sheriff's Office said his death was linked to heart-related symptoms. The sheriff's office and the Nebraska State Patrol are investigating.
