Ronald "Gun" Ficklin
Ronald "Gun" Ficklin, 57, was a former mayor of Greensburg, Louisiana, and was twice elected sheriff of St. Helena Parish. His daughter, Melissa Ficklin-Clark, was a candidate in the sheriff's election held the following Saturday. He died on October 21, 2011, at the Butner Federal Medical Center in Butner, North Carolina, where he was held. A prison spokesman said he died of cancer, which he had been battling.
