Roger Tyler
Roger Tyler, 41, died on January 24, 2017, while held at the Muscogee County Jail in Columbus, Georgia. According to Sheriff Donna Tompkins, another person held at the jail reportedly found him hanging in a shower area, and jail staff found him unresponsive shortly afterward. He was taken to Midtown Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The sheriff said the jail had been aware of his mental health history but understood him to be stable, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating while his body was sent for autopsy.
