Rogelio Cannady
Rogelio Cannady, 37, was executed by the State of Texas by lethal injection at the Huntsville Unit in Huntsville on May 19, 2010. His brother, a niece and three friends watched, and he told them he loved them before falling asleep. His lawyer had argued that his confession was coerced and that the case deserved more investigation, but courts rejected his final appeals. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice recorded the execution.
