Robert Stephens
Robert Stephens, a 50-year-old man, died on March 1, 2025 while held at the Bexar County Jail in Texas. The sheriff's office said a deputy found him attempting suicide in his cell that Saturday afternoon, and he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead that evening. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office lists the manner of death as suicide. The sheriff's office said its policies appeared to have been followed during observation checks, and that an internal and a criminal investigation are underway.
