Robert Michael Rupe
Robert Michael Rupe, 27, died on February 11, 2013, while held at the Tehama County Jail in California. The Tehama County Sheriff's Department said correctional officers found him hanging from a sheet tied to his bunk in his single cell, and that fire and EMS personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. The department said he had denied suicidal thoughts and showed no distress at his last contact with staff about an hour earlier. The cause and manner of death remain pending an autopsy.
