Robert Lee Shaft, 67, died in hospice care while in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections at Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, Oregon. The department announced the death on December 30, 2021, and said it was the 12th death of a person in its custody in the last two months of that year.
