Died in prison
Robert LaBonte
Robert LaBonte, 60, of Addison, died on December 24, 2025, while held at Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield, Vermont. He was taken to the Springfield Emergency Department, where he was declared dead on arrival. Authorities said the death does not appear suspicious. The State Police, the Defender General's office and the Department of Corrections will review the death, and the medical examiner's office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
