Robert James Turner, 57, was held at the United States Penitentiary Canaan in Canaan Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania. He was found not breathing on the afternoon of Friday, December 19, 2025, and was pronounced dead at the facility. Wayne County Coroner Edward R. Howell and prison officials have not yet given a cause or manner of death, and an autopsy was scheduled. Investigators reportedly saw no signs of trauma at the initial scene.
