Robert Gleason
Robert Gleason was executed by electrocution at Greensville Correctional Center in Jarratt, Virginia, on the evening of September 18, 2019. He had chosen electrocution and had repeatedly asked to end his appeals. The U.S. Supreme Court denied a last appeal that evening, and the governor's office said it would not intervene. He was pronounced dead at 9:08 p.m., about five minutes after the current was first applied.
