Robert E. Thacker
Robert E. Thacker, 50, died on March 21, 2017, after he was found with a suicide attempt in his cell at the Ross County Jail in Chillicothe, Ohio, where he was being held before trial. Staff were alerted to the attempt that Tuesday morning and he was taken to Adena Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later. The Ross County Sheriff's Office said the evidence pointed to suicide, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was brought in to investigate. The coroner planned an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
