Robert D. Haws
Robert D. Haws, 29, died in July 2010 after he was injured in a fight in the recreation yard of the minimum-security cellblock at the Marion County Jail. Jail authorities said he suffered head wounds and he was taken to Salem Hospital, where he later died. A Marion County grand jury has since acted in a case involving another person held at the jail.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by another person in custody. Jail authorities said he suffered head wounds in a fight with another inmate in the recreation yard, and a Marion County grand jury took up the case.
