Robert Brecheen was executed by the State of Oklahoma on August 11, 1995, at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester. Before the execution, he attempted suicide by overdosing on medication. An ambulance took him to a hospital, where doctors saved his life. Hours later, the state executed him.
