Ricky D. Sechrest, 56, died on November 30, 2017, at Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City while held in the custody of the Nevada Department of Corrections. Before his death he had been housed in the regional medical facility at Northern Nevada Correctional Center. The Nevada Department of Corrections reported the death, and its mortality statistics do not list a cause. KOLO reported that an autopsy would be scheduled, and no cause or manner of death has been given.
