Ricky Harris
Ricky Harris died on February 20, 2024, while held at Valdosta State Prison in Georgia. The Georgia Department of Corrections said he died after a fight with his cellmate and that the cellmate would be charged; the GBI Crime Lab will determine the official cause of death, and the department's Office of Professional Standards is investigating. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution later counted his death among the killings at the prison that year, reporting that he was stabbed many times with ink pens.
