Ricky Gilland was 46 years old and from Vinemont, Alabama. On October 18, 2019, correctional officers found him unresponsive in his cell in an Alabama prison, and staff determined he had died. The Department of Corrections said no foul play was suspected and that it would release more information when its investigation was finished.
