Richeson

Richeson was a clergyman who was executed in Massachusetts. A Springfield Weekly Republican editorial from February 1928 said public feeling against Richeson at the time ran so high that opposition to the death penalty was in complete eclipse. The editorial attributes that climate of opinion to the period around the execution, and it is the only account of the death in this record.
