Richard Washington
Richard Washington, 64, died on January 31, 2019, while held at ASPC-Florence, a state prison in Arizona, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections. A month before his death, he wrote to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit saying he was not getting adequate medical treatment and that his medication had been stopped. Court filings say the state had not responded to that letter, and an independent expert was expected to review his medical file. The corrections agency said all such deaths are investigated by the county medical examiner.
