Died in prison
Richard R. Ramirez
Richard Raymond Ramirez, 66, died on May 24, 2026, while in the custody of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation at the California Health Care Facility in Stockton, a state prison medical facility. The department said he was transferred to an outside hospital before he died. The San Joaquin County Coroner will investigate and perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
