Richard Lee Roberson
Richard Lee Roberson, 58, died on April 11, 2017, after being held at the Shasta County Jail in Shasta County, California. The Redding Police Department said he was arrested outside a hospital after officers were called about his behavior, and that during booking at the jail he became unresponsive. Staff gave medical care and he was taken by ambulance to Shasta Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Police said he showed no signs of a medical emergency before he lost consciousness, and the cause of death was pending an autopsy.
