Richard Keokeo Taylor Jr.
Richard Keokeo Taylor Jr., 51, was a Hawaii state prisoner held at Saguaro Correctional Center in Arizona, where Hawaii sends some of its people in custody. He was found unresponsive in his cell on October 22, 2023, and staff tried to revive him before he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Pinal County Medical Examiner's autopsy report lists dilated cardiomyopathy, a type of heart failure, as the cause, with methamphetamine abuse as a contributing cause, and classifies the death as an accident. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said an investigation is ongoing.
