Richard Hayes Stone
Richard Hayes Stone, 70, died of colon cancer on August 19, 2008, at Alvarado Medical Center in San Diego, while he was in the custody of Chuckawalla Valley State Prison in Blythe, California. Craig Ostendorf, a spokesman for the prison, said the cause of death was colon cancer and that the death was natural. The Mercury News reported the prison's account on August 21, 2008.
