Richard Goode, 29, died on Saturday, March 2, 2024, while held at the Marion County Adult Detention Center in Indianapolis. The Marion County Sheriff's Office said he was found unresponsive during a headcount that afternoon, and he was pronounced dead at 3:40 p.m. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, the county forensic services agency and the sheriff's internal affairs unit are investigating, and no cause or manner of death has been determined. The sheriff's office has listed the manner of death as pending.
