Richard Gonzales Samayoa
Richard Gonzales Samayoa, 69, was held at San Quentin State Prison, where he was found dead in his cell in the infirmary early on December 7, 2022, and pronounced dead at about 1:15 a.m. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said he died of natural causes, though the department also said the cause was not immediately clear. The Marin County Sheriff's Office Coroner Division will determine the cause and manner of death, and that determination is still pending.
