Richard Djerf was executed by lethal injection at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Florence in Florence, Arizona, on October 17, 2025, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry. The department said the process went according to plan and without incident, and that he was declared dead at 10:40 a.m. A witness told FOX 10 Phoenix that staff had difficulty finding a suitable vein and that he was motionless by 10:32 a.m. Asked for last words, he said he had none.
