Richard Davis
Richard Davis, 78, of Orleans, Vermont, died on September 27, 2025, while held at Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield. A correctional officer found him unconscious in his cell at about 4:41 a.m. The Vermont Department of Corrections said the death does not appear suspicious at this time and that its Corrections Investigative Unit will review it. The department has not stated a cause or manner of death.
