Ricardo Francis
Ricardo Francis, 40, was held pretrial at the Norfolk County jail in Dedham, Massachusetts. In early June 2020, guards noticed he was shivering and showing other signs of COVID-19, and he was taken to a hospital in Needham and then to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He died there on July 2, 2020, from complications of the disease, according to Norfolk County Sheriff Jerry McDermott. The sheriff said Francis had tested negative shortly before his symptoms appeared and had no known underlying conditions.
