Reginald C. Steed, 35, was pronounced dead early on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was held in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction. The department confirmed the death and said its Office of Investigations and Conduct is investigating. The Davidson County district attorney asked the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to look into it. Officials have not said how he died, and the cause of death has not been reported.
