Reginald Newkirk
Reginald Newkirk, 54, of Brooklyn, fell ill while held at the NYPD's 67th Precinct station house. One account says he was returned to the precinct before police requested an EMS call that afternoon. He died early on October 4, 2026, at Kings County Hospital. The NYPD said he had a medical emergency, but the cause of death has not been released, and the department's Force Investigation Division is investigating. Accounts differ on whether he was discharged from Downstate Hospital before being taken to Kings County.
