Raymond McCarty
Raymond McCarty, 52, of LaPorte, died on February 25, 2018, while held at the St. Joseph County Jail. WSBT reported that he was being held alone in a medical cell when jail staff found him unconscious. The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office said the Metro Homicide Unit is investigating the death under department protocol, as it does for all in-custody deaths at the jail.
