Raymond Bailey
Raymond Bailey died on October 26, 2023, while held at the privately run Lawton Correctional and Rehabilitation Facility in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was found dead in a garbage bin, and the state medical examiner's autopsy report recorded many stab and slash wounds to his head, neck and upper torso, classifying the death as a homicide. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections referred the case to the Comanche County district attorney, and its own review found that policies were violated, including improper counts. The investigation was still underway when the report was published in February 2024.
