Raymand Vannieuwenhoven
Raymand Vannieuwenhoven, 85, was a widower and father of five who lived for decades in Lakewood, a small town in northeastern Wisconsin. He died in June 2022 in the long-term care unit at Oshkosh Correctional Institution, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. The department said a medical examiner would perform an autopsy. After his death, his attorneys continued a legal challenge, arguing that police obtained his DNA through deception, and the ACLU asked the Wisconsin Supreme Court to hear the case.
