Rasheen Younger
Rasheen Younger, 44, was held at Bertie Correctional Institute in Bertie County, North Carolina. According to officials, he was struck by another person and fell backward, hitting his head, in an alleged assault on January 12, 2024. Officers found him unconscious, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he died on January 14, 2024. The Windsor Police Department is investigating, and the Department of Adult Corrections is conducting an internal review.
