Raphael Zachery Milligan
Raphael Milligan, 41, died on July 21, 2022, at Augusta State Medical Prison in Grovetown, Georgia, where he was held in the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections. A pro-prison reform organization says he was beaten to death by his cellmate in an isolation cell. A person held in the same unit has since been identified in the killing, according to The Augusta Press, which reported in December 2022.
