Randall Hank Bolix was 34 years old. He had been in the hospital since Wednesday for an infection and was sent back to the Morgan County Jail in Decatur, Alabama, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, where he was placed in a holding cell at 1:29 p.m. Just two minutes later he asked for help, and he was rushed back to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. The State Bureau of Investigation looked into his death, and no cause has been released.
