Raeanne Encinas, 44, died on December 16, 2025, while held at the Yakima County jail in Washington. According to a news release from the investigating agencies, she was found unresponsive in her cell on a Tuesday evening, and paramedics and firefighters were called to try to revive her before she was pronounced dead. A multi-agency group is investigating her death, and the corrections department is conducting its own administrative review. The cause and manner of death have not been announced.
