Rachelle Mitchell
Rachelle Mitchell, 42, died on November 15, 2023, at a local hospital in the Houston area after being taken there for a medical emergency while held at the Harris County Jail, where she had been since April 24. The Harris County Sheriff's Office said she had no apparent physical injuries. The cause of death was pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, and the Texas Rangers and the sheriff's internal affairs division were investigating her death.
