Rachel Mason
Rachel Mason, 45, of Tazewell, died on February 6, 2026, while she was held at the Claiborne County Jail in Tennessee. Jail staff found her in her cell, and the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department said she had hanged herself with a sheet from her bunk. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the circumstances of her death, and her body was sent for an autopsy. The TBI said foul play is not suspected at this time.
