Rachel Elizabeth Morgan died on May 15, 2023, at the Sarasota County Correctional Facility in Florida. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said she was found unresponsive in her cell in the early morning. The sheriff's office said corrections deputies and medical personnel tried to resuscitate her, and she was pronounced dead at 6:43 a.m. The sheriff's office said the cause of death has not been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
