Queen Ricks
Queen Ricks, 43, of Rockford, died in August 2026 while held at the Winnebago County Jail. On a Friday night that month, she was found unresponsive in her cell and taken to a local hospital, where she died. The Winnebago County Coroner's Office said more testing is needed to determine the cause and manner of her death. The Winnebago-Boone Investigative Cooperative is investigating.
